Delete your account

You can ask us to delete your SkillDesk account and the personal data linked to it. This page works for both the SkillDesk mobile app and the SkillDesk website, and you do not need the app installed to use it.

How to request deletion

Use either route — both reach the same team:

• In the app or on the web: sign in, open Profile from the dashboard menu, then choose Delete account.
• Without signing in: fill in the form below, or email us at our privacy contact from the address on the account.

What we delete

Once we verify the request, we permanently delete:

• Your account and profile: name, email address, password, profile photo, bio, skills and work experience
• Your learning data: course, batch and learning-path enrolments, lesson progress, notes, quiz results, assessments and saved courses
• Your activity and gamification data: activity history, points, badges, streaks, goals and league participation
• Your content and messages: questions, answers, course reviews and in-app notifications
• Device identifiers used for push notifications

What we keep, and for how long

• Invoices and payment records — kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, because we cannot lawfully delete them on request.
• Security and audit logs — kept for up to 12 months to protect against fraud and abuse, then deleted.
• Encrypted backups — deleted data remains in routine backups until they roll over, within 30 days.
• Anonymised statistics — aggregated figures that can no longer identify you may be kept indefinitely.

How long it takes

We may contact you to confirm that you own the account. Verified requests are completed within 30 days, and you will get an email when the account has been deleted. Deletion cannot be undone: to use SkillDesk again you would need a new account and a new invitation from your organisation.

If your employer created your account, we may need their confirmation before deleting it, because the training records may belong to their workspace.
